  • Name: Enter a descriptive name for the preset in order to remember it in future.

  • Raw file: Provide the path of the raw calibration image, obtained from capturing the calibration scene. Full guidance on how to correctly set up the scene to obtain the best possible calibration reference image using a grey colour chart can be found here.

  • Distance: The measured distance between the centre of the light and the grey card used in the calibration scene.

  • Grey Value: The percentage value in HSV of grey tile in the section of the colour chart that will be selected from the raw image for exposure calibration - do not write the '%' symbol.

Please refer to the catalogue of colour cards and known % values that we have consolidated.

This is not the Grey %. We are referring to white having 100% value and black having 0% value

Once all of the above fields are completed, clicking the Create button will launch the exposure calibration tool

There may be some delay before the calibration tool is launched). Then follow the onscreen instructions.

Selecting a region

When the dialogue launches, you will see your calibration image with a prompt to select a region of your grey card. Draw a selection box over the area of interest. The larger the box is the better the exposure solve will be about to account for noise & subtle changes in illumination. Press Enter to confirm the selection.
