Marso as an application is very easy to use and requires minimal user input. The process of creating a fully textured 3D asset consists of four main steps as listed below.

When using a new capture device, ensure that you have first run the calibration process within Marso to create a system profile.

\uD83D\uDCD8 Main Steps to processing a scan

  1. Job Creation
    Creates a new project for a scan with the relevant settings.

  2. Preparing
    Ingests RAW photography into Marso and creates image files to be used in photogrammetry.

  3. Photogrammetry Reconstruction
    Create a 3D mesh in a third-party application; Reality-Capture, Agisoft Metashape

  4. Process Materials
    Ingests the 3D mesh from photogrammetry to generate beautiful material maps.
