✏️ Job Creation
In the main window of Marso, enter the Job Name and path to Raw Files:
the topmost panel is used to create new jobs.
Before continuing, make sure you have selected an Exposure and Light System.
To create a new job you will need to enter:
Job Name: A descriptive name that will be used to identify the scan throughout processing and once the results are ready. e.g Blue_Leather_Handbag

Raw Files: Specify the path to the raw images from the scan to be processed.

⚙️ Loading Presets
Before starting the image preparation, ensure that you have the correct Exposure & Light-Setup selected. If you haven’t already calibrated your capture system please refer to calibration.
To Load a preset, go to :
File > Exposure Parameters
and / or. File > Light Setup
The desired Exposure or Light-Setup preset can be loaded by selecting the corresponding row in the list and clicking the Save
button. The loaded preset will be reflected in the settings window and used as the default for all future processing jobs.
📷 Image Preparation
Once the above information has been entered, the Start
button within the Raw Processing
pane can be clicked to start the Prepare step.
The new job will appear in the lower pane as soon as it is started, and data preparation will run until its status changes from PREPARING
to READY
.

Select Start to begin preparing the images for processing. This may take up to an hour.
📷 Image Preparation
Image preparation is necessary to create ensure the photogrammetry images are consistent with the processing data.
After clicking starting the preparation step you will see the job appear in the job list below. If you need to stop the running job you can click the Stop
, although any progress will be lost.

The prepare stage has completed successfully when you see the status READY

In addition to reading all data into Maraso, this step will also create exr
files that will must be needed used for the photogrammetry step. Click Inspect Photos
to view these images
When using a capture system that has multiple lights for each camera position or node, Marso will automatically create only one exr
file for each group of lights as an averaged imagecamera position.
