Marso has been designed and developed with professional & prosumer cameras in mind, such as DLSRs, mirrorless cameras, and some smartphone cameras. Marso can only work with one camera model for a single scan.

📝  Requirements

  • Save images in a Raw file format

  • Set manual exposure (shutter speed / ISO / Aperture)

  • Disable any image stabilization, either on the lens, camera or both.

  • If shooting with an iPhone, the Halide Mark II - Pro Camera app is recommended to shoot in RAW.

🔎 Lens

For the photogrammetry to work best you should aim to use a lens around 28mm (wide). Photogrammetry aside, Marso requires good even framing, read more here.

Info

Ultra-wide lenses can cause too much distortion & will leave the subject small within the frame, and a telephoto lens will also be difficult to solve in 3D

A high aperture number will offer better results, by keeping more of the object in focus
